All models: Chains and sprockets

WARNING!
  • If You don’t have sufficient mechanical knowledge, experience and proper tools, we strongly recommend, that You have these operations done by Your selling dealer or at Your local motorcycle service center!
  • For greater durability all KUBERG chains (excluding Start) do NOT use a removable chain master link, therefore the chain change includes removing the motor. KUBERG does not recommend splitting the chain in half while changing it with a new one because of its subsequently lowered durability and a mistake, that can be done very easily.

NOTE:
Changing the sprocket to a new one with a different number of teeth will greatly influence the top speed, torque and acceleration of Your motorcycle:
  • Slightly bigger rear sprocket (or smaller motor sprocket or both) will slow down the motorcycle, but enhaces its torque and acceleration.
  • Slightly smaller rear sprocket (or bigger motor sprocket or both) may enhance the top speed of the motorcycle, but will reduce its torque and acceleration.
  • Changing gearing will require new chain in different length.

WARNING!

If You choose to change the gear ratio on Your motorcycle, pick new gearing only from a range of parts designated to the same motorcycle, otherwise the chain tensioner might NOT be able to preload the chain sufficiently and therefore could cause the chain to slip of the sprocket during ride! For example You can switch the FreeRider's gear ratio from 12/70 down to 10/100 while keeping the same wheel size.

Rear wheel sprockets, that are NOT interchangeable:
  • Start (6 holes, 50H chain)
  • Trial/Cross (6 holes, 219H chain)
  • Pit Bike (4 holes, 428 chain)

Rear wheel sprockets, that are interchangeable (7 holes, 219H chain):
  • Ranger
  • Challenger
  • FreeRider
  • X-Force

Motor sprockets (except for Start) are all interchangeable, but please specify the motorcycle type during Your order.

If Your motorcycle is under warranty, please register it on our website, if You have not already done so:
https://www.kuberg.com/en/bike-registration

If the problem persists, please contact your dealer or KUBERG customer service (support@kuberg.com). For the fastest possible resolution please send:
  1. VIN of your motorcycle (it is stamped on the right side of the steering column).
  2. Detailed information on actions taken so far, a few photos and preferably a video.
